The first six months decide the rest

Most of the difficulties a new taxi operator runs into have nothing to do with driving: they come from a legal structure chosen in haste, non-approved equipment that has to be replaced, insurance that doesn’t fit, or bookkeeping left aside until the first inspection.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need the professional card already?
To trade, yes: the taxi driver professional card is issued by the prefecture after you pass the examination and meet the fitness and good-standing conditions. We can, however, prepare the company side in parallel.
What equipment is mandatory in a taxi?
An approved taximeter, a time stamp device if the taximeter doesn’t provide one, a roof sign, a plate showing the ADS number, a printer connected to the taximeter and an electronic payment terminal. Operating without the full set risks a fine.
Can you help me buy a vehicle?
Yes, on choosing a new or used vehicle and bringing it into compliance, then on registering on the online electronic register.
