CPAM-approved taxi: your medical transport, covered
TS57 is approved with every French health fund. With a medical prescription, your journey to hospital, the dialysis unit or your specialist is paid directly by the Assurance Maladie.
- Billed directly to the health fund, so you pay nothing up front
- Transport voucher submitted electronically from our office
- Drivers trained to assist frail and elderly passengers
- Help getting in and out, accompanied to reception if needed
- Shared transport possible under your fund’s rules
- Recurring journeys: dialysis, radiotherapy, chemotherapy, rehabilitation, physiotherapy, spa cures
- Hospital admissions and discharges, including late-afternoon journeys home
A medical prescription is essential
Cover for an approved taxi journey requires a medical transport prescription issued by your doctor before you travel. Long-distance journeys and series of repeated trips also need prior approval from your health fund. We explain exactly what is needed when you book.
Seated patient transport, in practice
Professional seated transport is for people whose condition justifies being driven, without needing an ambulance or a stretcher. That covers the large majority of journeys to a consultation, a dialysis session, radiotherapy, rehabilitation or day surgery.
We run these journeys from Fontoy, Hayange, Thionville, Hagondange and Metz to every facility in the area: CHR Metz-Thionville (Mercy and Bel-Air), Robert-Schuman hospital, Nancy university hospital, as well as care homes, medical centres, laboratories and specialist units across the valley.
What to bring with you
- The medical transport prescription issued by your doctor
- Your carte Vitale and, where relevant, your entitlement certificate
- Your complementary insurance card, if you have one
- Your fund’s prior approval, where it’s required
If a document is missing we’ll help you sort it out rather than cancel the journey. Planning ahead is still more comfortable for you.
Recurring journeys: we build the schedule around you
For treatments requiring several trips a week we set up a recurring schedule. Same time, same driver wherever possible, and one person to call when an appointment moves. Most of our regular patients stop thinking about the transport altogether, which is the point.
Why TS57
-
No money up front
We bill the health fund directly, so the reimbursed portion never passes through your hands. You only pay any remaining patient contribution if your situation calls for it.
-
Every fund, not just CPAM
General scheme, agricultural scheme, special schemes: our approval covers every compulsory health insurance fund.
-
Recurring journeys, organised
For dialysis three times a week or a course of radiotherapy, we plan the journeys ahead with the same driver wherever possible.
-
The whole Grand Est, and further
CHR Metz-Thionville, Bel-Air, Robert-Schuman, Nancy university hospital, Strasbourg CHU. And when the treatment is not available in the region, we drive you to Paris.
